Before going into details, let's be clear. By default, Google's Chrome new tab page includes thumbnails of the Google logo, search bar, and most visited websites. Open a new tab and you will be taken here. This is not your home page (the page you redirect to when you click the home icon) or your start page (the page that loads on startup). Changing your homepage in Chrome can be done quickly through the settings page. However, to change the new tab page, you need to add the Chrome extension New Player to the game. You can find extensions in Chrome's web store. This is explained in the How to Change New Tab Page Background in Chrome section below.
